Help Raise Funds for the Oregon World War II Memorial

“Join us in our effort to raise fund for the Oregon World War II Memorial honoring those who risked their lived for our freedom.”

In 2011, the Oregon Legislature authorized a World War II memorial to be built on the Capitol grounds. The Oregon World War II Memorial Foundation is the nonprofit organization charged with raising private funds to build the memorial as well as unify Oregon communities to honor their veterans from that era, and the generation of people who supported the war effort on the home front.
Once completed, the memorial in Wilson Park will commemorate and honor the service of more than 152,000 Oregon men and women of the armed forces, the support of countless civilians on the home front, and the ultimate sacrifice of 3,760 Oregonians who lost their lives during the war.

The memorial is to feature a five-sided granite obelisk that will stand 33-feet high and a wall engraved with the names of Oregon’s WWII service members who were killed in action.

What specifically needs to be repaired or serviced?

Depending on the reason you are bringing your car in,

(“There’s this strange noise!” “What’s that shaking?” or “Why doesn’t my AC blow cold?”)

the repairs depend on the inspection. Whatever your car requires in labor and parts will be derived from a thorough diagnosis. Along with the diagnosis, we generally perform a 30 Point Courtesy Inspection, and note anything else that may need attention. H&T Motors takes time with you to explain the necessary repairs and make sure you are comfortable with the recommendations.

Testimonials

What our customers say.

Safe on the Road

“When I moved to Portland in 1995, I had to find a new doctor, a new dentist and a new VW mechanic. I’ve been through seven or eight doctors and dentists but consider myself extremely lucky to have found you soon after I arrived.
After 12 years and two VW’s (you advised me on my second purchase and assisted the buyer of my first), your team has kept me safe on the road and saved me money.

With the first VW, at a time when I was struggling financially and couldn’t afford a new fuel pump, you came up with what you called a ‘temporary fix’ and even though you said you couldn’t guarantee it, your fix didn’t fail throughout the life of the second buyer’s ownership.

When I was obligated to use a dealership on the current VW because of a warranty requirement, the dealer tried to persuade me to make several other repairs which you said I didn’t need. Eight years later, you’re still right.

I have more examples of how great you guys are but suffice it to say, as someone who knows very little about auto mechanics, I’m vulnerable to disreputable practices and it is really great to be able to trust. Volkswagen needs to know that because of the excellent companies like yours, I am still driving their cars, so I am sending a copy of this letter to their corporate headquarters. Glad I found you and keep up the great work!”

A Classic Van Owner

“I just wanted to thank you for the perfect job you did on my classic van. Keeping vehicles this original and dependable through the use of correct quality parts and experienced technicians is hard to do these days. And, I am very particular and pay close attention to detail. It just went beyond repair and into the restoration stage and was done to very high standard. Your staff exceeded my expectations and I hope you will convey my appreciation to those who seldom get the proper thanks for what they do.”

Peace of Mind in Portland Oregon

“You are absolutely the best! Your business has provided me with peace of mind knowing what ever done was done with the level of quality and that it should be. I have cherished working with businesses that are honest like yours”
